Members of the I.A.I.,
Ron Smith & Associates, Inc. of Meridian,
Mississippi is excited about joining forces with the International
Association for Identification to bring quality forensic training
seminars to your corner of the world. Through a contractual
agreement, RS & A, Inc. will be developing and promoting, on
behalf of the parent body of the I.A.I, a series of forensic
training courses in many of the forensic disciplines found within
our organization. It is
anticipated that multiple levels of training in each discipline will
eventually be provided on a regional basis on an annual or
semi-annual basis throughout the United States, Canada and
beyond. These series of
seminars will enable students and practitioners of the forensic
identification sciences to progress with their formal external
training while they gain valuable practical work experience within
their own agency.
It is the sincere desire of RS & A, Inc. to
co-sponsor these training opportunities with Charter Divisions of
the I.A.I. in order for the continual training needs of their
members to be met. All
of the training seminars will be carefully planned and scrutinized
for content and quality in order that they may qualify for training
credit for the applicable I.A.I. Certification program. Instructors will be
thoroughly screened and their material carefully evaluated to
maintain the utmost in quality. Through co-sponsorship with
the Charter Divisions, these seminars can reach a broader spectrum
of students and collectively increase the expertise throughout each
Division of the I.A.I.
For an extensive training program such as this to
succeed will require adequate facilities in each hosting city. RS & A, Inc. is
currently looking for training sites which can handle up to (10)
seminars each year if possible. It is anticipated that there
will eventually be no more than fifteen (15) of these training sites
selected throughout the United States, possibly three (3) in Canada,
and selected sites in other countries. Since the list of courses is
so varied, the site requirements are a major consideration. If your Division is
interested in becoming a regional training co-sponsor for this
training program then you are encouraged to begin seeking out
training venues that can handle the volume and diversity of these
courses. Details of
site requirements can be discussed by contacting Mike Campbell,
Training Coordinator for RS & A, Incorporated. He can be reached
at his office at 414-630-9670 or at mike@ronsmithandassociates.com. You can also find
information about becoming a host site by visiting us at http://www.ronsmithandassociates.com.
We are also continually seeking out qualified,
experienced instructors for this exciting program and would very
much like to speak with you if you are interesting in submitting a
seminar proposal for consideration. If you are an instructor,
you can contact Ron Smith toll free at 1-866-TEAM RSA or at ron@ronsmithandassociates.com
to discuss the possibilities. You can also find a
great deal of information regarding what is required to have your
seminar proposal considered on our website at
http://www.ronsmithandassociates.com.
We look forward to developing a long term relationship
with each of the Charter I.A.I. Divisions and are very excited about
the prospect of bringing high quality forensic training to each of
your areas.
Respectfully submitted,
Ron Smith, President
