Was formed to:
- Associate persons in the
state of Texas, who are actively engaged in the profession of
forensic identification, crime scene investigation, scientific
examination and preservation of physical evidence in an organized
body, so that the profession in all of its branches may be
standardized and effectively and scientifically practiced.
Encourage the
enlargement and improvement of the science of forensic
identification, crime scene investigation, evidence examination
and preservation.
Encourage research in
the science of forensic identification, crime scene investigation,
evidence examination and preservation.
Keep its members
apprised of the latest techniques and discoveries in forensic
identification, crime scene investigation, evidence examination
and preservation.
Employ the collective
wisdom of the profession in order to advance the scientific
techniques of forensic identification, crime scene investigation,
examination and preservation.
And
The TD-IAI recognizing the
need for an expanded professional forensic scientific community, and
the desire to remember those members who have contributed to the
success of this forensic scientific community has created, and
established as an integral part of the TD-IAI, the Memorial
Educational Scholarship Foundation. The purpose of the
Foundation is to provide scholarships for members in good standing
of the TD-IAI, who are seeking education within the forensic
identification community; and to promote the advancement of forensic
identification as a profession on a state wide basis.
